The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Having some isues with my laptop. Toolbar icons dissapear and I cant access the Start menu either

    Every now and then the toolbar icons on the bottom right of the screen (including time) will disappear and when I mouse over the start icon, the programs list pops up, but I cant click on anything. The only way I seem to be able to get out of this is by manually shutting down the notebook(pressing the power button). Any idea why this is happening?
