yay Geminis having Notebook problems

 

I just entered boxing this morning, can anyone tell me what this means?

 

Good deal. It just means that they are preparing your laptop for shipment to you.

 

Boxing is a catch-all for everything that happens between the time when your system is built/tested and when it's shipped. Given that most systems are actually built overseas, "Boxing" includes the time that the system is loaded onto a plane and flown to its destination country. Once there, boxing is completed as Dell packages the system up along with the accessories, and transfers it to the final shipper. Then it's "shipped."

Boxing seems to last about 3 days on average.

 

& thats what they should be doing with me yeah monday morning my ass its TUESDAY AFTERNOON WHERES MY NOTEBOOK!!! im giving til the end of the week if its not here by then thats it im gonna go and buy an apple computer like i wanted or a sony vaio these ****ing dell people i tell ya!

 

Hmm so I got pretty lucky it seems, I have logged over 20 hours of being on the phone with Dell though. Im sure they got sick of me and made sure my laptop went through quickly :-D

 

I ordered mine on 4/25 and today is the estimated ship date, it's still in the build phase... I think I've lost all the patience that I had.

 

LoL Dell inspiron 1525 taking long are you serious its not even all that and its taking this loong im going crazy............................

Got that from my rep last thursday. Just keep stringging me along...........

 

I just got delayed to 6/3. Looks like those in my boat will just need to hold on just a little longer. Now I finally have justification to demand one-day shipping.

 

I got the next day air shipping so I should be getting mine this week.. Hopefully.. Second day of boxing..

 

I am so upset, I just realized Newegg also has a 0% interest for 12 months I could of applied for and ordered the comparable Asus and I'd prob be already removing bloatware at this point. Instead of panicking whether I will get my laptop before I leave next Friday

My plan was to just cancel the order if its not in testing by Monday (or Tuesday) not sure how far in advance it has to be in boxing for me to get it next Friday. (I paid $ for overnight for a reason).

 

I got approved for 11% APR, 12 month no interest from Dell, Alienware, Sony, HP. Newegg flat out rejected me. :-( Or I would be gaming by now aswell.

Yeah I was happy to be approved by Dell, $2000 limit. I wish I would of gotten $500 more for the 1700 series, but I think I can make the 1530 do what I want it too.

Anyone have any luck demanding an upgraded shipping delivery?

 

I just said my ESD and they gave me free overnight shipping when I was ordering on the phone. They seem really quick to pull out that card.

Peoples laptops are flying out now, some seeing 3 days to boxing. Seems like older orders are being neglected though.

 

Really? The CSR told me that Dell did not expedite orders nor did they change orders once they were made. Lol. I made fun of him on the phone, but he still said that he could not change my order or give me one-day shipping.

 

They wont change orders already made because they need a managers override. Sales people have a 80% chance of giving it to you while ordering just to sweeten the pot and seal the deal. Getting your order expedited is getting one day shipping, it has nothing to do with the production process.

 

Got the delay email stating ESD is now 6-3-08. Currently still in build phase as of this morning

 

The order is about to ship out. It is in the last phase of production. I will keep an eye on the order and make sure that we ship it the fastest way possible. Thanks.

Hopefully your status gets updated soon. I also got the delay email (same date as yours), but ~4 hours later I checked the status and it was in "Testing" and as of this morning (perhaps earlier) it's in "Build".

 

Not sure how, but now its in Boxing... seems like a quick jump from Build to me but maybe I will get it someday soon afterall

and my estimated ship was 28th, i just saw that i got a mail that its been delayed to the 30th of may and i have a questation i already have a next business day delivery you think that i get a compenstation from them?

How long is boxing really been a day and a half now... Any hope of a delivery tommorrow?

 

LG makes the WSXGA+ also, not just Samsung so if we're lucky we will get the LG since people on here are saying Samsung is not so great, but I always thought they were good... but i don't know, and yeah i'm getting worried too, but on my old inspiron e1505 i had the WSXGA+ display and it was awesome so thats why i choose it again...

 

just made it to kitting today. Should only be another month now.........ugh.

 

Mine shipped out yesterday, 1680x1050 display. I looked up the service tag, and it shows that it has the Samsung display. Looks like those of us at the tail end of the WSXGA+ resolution will be getting the dregs.

 

Boxing is usually about 3-4 days.. Mine was 4 days before it shipped out.. Started Boxing on monday and shipped on thursday (Today)

 

I started boxing Monday and I shipped at 1:30 am this morning.

More importantly. I SHIPPED!!!

 

Right ON! I know the feeling of it shipped, now just grab the tracking number and start tracking it every 20 minutes LOL...
