Looking at some of the postings of ppl ordering new dells there seems to be a meantion of a 40% coupon like a week ago. I know its expired but does anyone know wat it was for and how often one of those things come around.
looking to buy a new laptop between now and the next 4months and wanted most bang for buck

They were for the XPS m1530 and m1330 and unfortunately, they're extremely rare. I've been keeping track of prices with dell for the past few years and have never seen something like this. Dell does offer 599 off their "best" configuration for the XPS m1530 and m1330 though.

yup i just ordered mine with the 40% off
ended on 4/22
-
Yeah the $600 off is fairly close. It was not really 40% off, it was $749 off which worked out AFAIK to be 40% the base config.

if i was looking to buy a new laptop for september wen do u guys think the best time to buy a xps 1530
-
I was able to get this 40% off, ordered it three minutes before the clock struck midnight, hehe.
For best times, I don't think there is one, the game plan is to keep checking, on a daily basis - also put into perspective the amount of time you will be checking DELL's site for deals, if it goes beyond a certian amount of time, then the few extra dollars arenot worth it. -
hotukdeals also had some crazy offers a couple of weeks ago where m1530 were underpriced or something people were getting notebooks for peanuts, dell honoured all purchases
-
hotukdeals? like is there other sites to look on when your trying to find a good price on a dell? dell price comares? like how does that work?

I saw the 40% off a couple of days after I ordered a 1530 at $749 off. I went through the process of configuring a new system using the same specs that I had used earlier (with the thought that I would cancel my original order) and found out that the great 40% off deal was actually a few dollars more expensive than what I had already ordered!

750 off is good the best i found was 600 something off..

Heard There Was A 40%OFF A Week Ago
