Thinking of ordering d620 tonite. Read a couple of threads where it gets too warm when using on your lap. The d620 specs fit what I need but the heat issue is holding me back.

How bad is it? Compare to other new duo core laptop?

It is hot in the center. I suppose it would be 'ok' if each side were on your lap but the center is too uncomfortable without a cooler or lap desk. I use it on top of a tap, desk or lapdesk.

I will say the palm rests were very comfortable and cool though, which is important for desk usage, so that's a positive. A lot of notebooks tend to get warm underneath so it's tough to esape that.
