    OK my brother messed up his keyboard so every time he presses backspace it types y Can anyone fix it? please help
    and we tried compressed air already and removing that key but it's not working still. It's a Dell inspiron 2200

    what?!? i had a problem just like that on my 5 1/2 in floppy Mac computer 10 years ago. i just tossed it. he may have changed the keyboard driver

    I had this on my wireless keyboard when i spilt water into it! I dried it out and disconnected the power and took out all the battery's over night!

    Seems to have worked for me! Luckily! Give it a go if you havent already!

    :eek: I didn't think anyone else on the planet had that Inspiron model, lol.

    My friend has that and his little sister destroyed the screen running down the stairs one day. It is hooked up to a sick widescreen monitor now, so no biggie.

    I don't really know how you can fix it, but judging from the circumstances of the problem, it looks like cleaning it won't help. As someone above said, maybe he changed some setting somehow. Worst comes to worst, you might have to remove more keys to see if they shifted somehow.

    lol, removing the keys wont do anything, its most likely something software. Is there anything you did prior to this happening that could have caused it?
