ARRRGGHHH!!! Hey guys, i was wondering if anyone else is having this problem with thier inspiron 9400, sometimes when i go to turn it on it winds up (hard drive starts to spin a little) then a little zap sound happens and it shuts off.

if anyone else is having this problem please let me know, i want to know how hard it was to get Dell to fix your laptop, cause it only happens sometimes (very rarely, but it does happen) I'm afraid that if i send it back thier just going to go "nah it was fine when we tested it" and send it back to me, and i really can't afford to be having a running battle with dell over getting it replaced cause its my only working PC at the moment, arrrghhh!!! If anyone can help/give advice i would greatly appreciate it, thanks

(its a Dell inspiron 9400, 2.16ghz duo, 1 gb ram, 7800 go, bluetooth module)

Have you contacted Dell support? There's always a chance they've heard about this problem and know how to correct it.
