I am on the way home from deployment and my N3010 Fujitsu died. For three weeks I have been posting and trying to find any coupons in the coupon section of this forum for the following configured E1705. My wife has been calling Dell and either the coupon is no longer good or it must be configured exactly as per the coupon "small print" Why can't I buy it configured as per the coupon get the discount and make a suplimental addition trading in the lower grade single core for upgraded CPU etc.. etc.? I'm out at sea so searching the internet to find coupons is out of the question, just making this post took an act of God.

This is the code for $750 off a notebook $1999 or more: 4XJ062M1S1KXF2

Make sure your notebook is above this price for it to work (the price with the line through it usually...not the Dell red price).

Try calling the EPP group at Dell, they might have discounts for servicemen.
Right now both Dell home and EPP (employee purchase program) have 34% off, EPP has an added 12% if you get the better warranty.
Through EPP you should be able to get that config with a 4yr complete care warranty for around $1650.00 . Dropping the warranty down can save another hundred or two or more.

Thanks to all and I finally bought the 1705.

They do not combine discounted prices with any other discount offers, military discounts (6% by the way), etc. So the best I could do was to take the $750 coupon off of the $2221 original price = 1471 plus sales tax, and shipping , Final cost = $1593.

This is the best price I could get. By the way the other coupons are only for 350 and 450, so the 750 was the top coupon out there, and also it EXPIRES on 6/7/06. I didn't have time to go back and forth. I read the disclaimer in the internet and it did say that it cannot be used in conjunction with other discount offers. It does kind of lure you in though. At any rate, I went ahead and ordered it. It will be sent out by June 15, and takes 3-5 business days to get here.

Probably so but given my situation out here at sea it's the best I could get. They make finding coupons an absolute PITA and I suppose the multi-billion conglomerate deserves my money more than I. Either way I'm happy to have it sitting at home awaiting my arrival.

Your configuration is great... but warranty of only 1 year? I guess it's a matter of personal confort, but on a machine at this price, 2 or 3 years added warranty maybe worth considering.
