Dear all,
I recently acquired a Dell Inspiron Notebook, 1.3GHz, 40GB 256MB. In a bid to do a fresh installation I formatted the hard disk. It was when I re-installed the OS that I discovered I didn't have a back up of the DELL drivers, pre-installed
Now the system is not seeing the sound card, the ethernet and some other hardware...how do I get the driver to get it back into shape please.

All you need to do is go to Dell's website
http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/index.aspx?~ck=mn
and enter in your operating system. It will give you a list of Dell's current drivers that have been released for the 2200. Once its download, just run them (they are self installing).[]
If you can't access the internet with the 2200, download your driver for the ethernet/wireless and then you can burn or use a jumpdrive to transfer over to the 2200. Once that driver is installed, you'll have access to the net, so you can download the others. []
hope this helps,
~SG~
