The first replacement one has a small black spot on LCD screen, the second replacement still same thing but different position.
D620 LCD sucks. What can I do now? Request the third replacement or return?
-
what do you want to do?
-
I love D620 design except the LCD. I hope it just my bad luck, so I want exchange, but if the third replacement still has problem, I am screwed.
-
You can always ask for your money back.
-
That is the worst luck to have 2 $hitt* $creeen$! They should rectify it, give you your money back or give you another brand new computer. I hope your business/occupation is not suffering from this. -
Have a lot of people had problems with the D620 screen or is this just an isolated event?
Titanium, you have a 620 don't you? -
It's not dead pixel, but dust inside LCD.
-
Not to rub it in buy I just got a D62o and it has the nicest LCD I've ever seen, bar none. You should definitely exchange it for one that works.
-
I have the D620 with NVIDIA, now. The screen is very NICE. Especially since I can crank up my brightness (at the expense of battery life).
-
Did you get the replacement? Do you have the XGA or SXGA screen. Can you comment on the quality? Thanks.

I guess beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder.
I had two D620's and they both had terrible screens, IMHO. Not only is the screen dim (at the brightest setting), but the viewing angles are so bad that I had to keep moving my head from side to side just to see the screen properly. Although I had other issues with the D620, the screen was the number one reason I returned it.
Aside from the screen being subpar, I also had issues with the touchpad being very tempremental and both computers made had an annoying electronic whine when running on battery power (similar to the highly publicized Macbook Pro whine issue).
Anyway, after multiple phone calls, Dell took both computers back and gave me a refund.
I hope that helps. -
I also think that's dust but not deal pixel, I got two E1505 from Dell, one of them had the similar issue, it was only a very tiny little black dot and most people probably wouldn't even care...too bad everything else was perfect. -
Finally, I returned it and re-ordered a D620 with Nvidia video and DDR2 667Mhz. This time, it seems everything is fine.
The screen looks brighter then Intel video card. The Keyboard is far better then last one.
Right now, I love my new D620.
Help! Latitude D620, the second replacement still has problem.
