I got a refurbished Studio 1558 back in early September.

In the past 3 months, I've had 13 blue screens. From October to November, I went nearly 30 days without one. But they're coming again!

I'm not the most techy person, but I managed to get to the Event Viewer Page.

    Source: Kernel-Power
    Event ID: 41
    Task Category: (63)

What can I do? The only thing I've really tried is shutting down more often and not putting it to sleep. HELP!

It does sound like a power issue related to sleep or hibernation. I would turn off those features in the advanced power settings and just leave it to only turn off the screen. If nothing else, check for updated drivers to your machine starting with the chipset drivers.

I often use sleep for when I close the lid. It makes things a lot easier when moving around campus to classes, the library, and such.

I have the most recent drivers, are there any other suggestions on what I could do? Would some kind of power manager (undervolting) or something do anything? This is a pain in the butt!
