Hey all, I just got my new 1705 in, and wanted to get rid of all the junk that came with it so I formatted and reinstalled windows, no problem there XP is on like normal, but nothing worked (to be expected).

So I put in the Dell Ghetto Driver CD and start TRYING to put all this stuff in. Turns out nearly all the drivers on this disc are not compatible with what is in my system (such as, Vid Card Drivers). Anyways, I figure ah well, I'll just get online and find the drivers manually...but I cant get the wireless connection to work and the drivers on the disc dont help at all @_@ really frustrated, maybe Im missing something but how do I get the wireless connection to work?

It should be as easy as reinstalling the Intel 3945 drivers. You might want to use the restore disk to get everything working, download the all of the necessary drivers from Dell, then do a fresh install.
