My son started hitting buttons on my 1200 Inspiron and now my top letter line is locked to the number line. If I press q I get q1 if I press w I get w2. If I hit the corresponding number its the same thing. Here are the locked combo's q1, w2, e3, r4, u7, i8, o9, p0.
How do I shut this off? Here is an uncorrected paragraph

I have never heard of such a featuer. I think it is a hardware problem. One key must by physicly pressing the other key down with it. Maybe something is stuck between them?

I had a simular problem on my desktop PC where i spilt a glass of water into the keyboard. Took it apart dryied it all out and then after leaving the battery out of the Keyboard and pulling the plug of the pc over night it worked fine. It didnt work if i connected it up again after 2-3 hours it had to be the whole night!
Hope that helps!
