    hey guys,
i just received my e1505 a couple of weeks ago and performed a clean install of windows. everything went great except a few things. first off, there are two yellow marks next to drivers when i go to check the device manager. one is network controller and the other is unknown device. do you have any idea what i can do to solve this problem? secondnly, is there any way to make my function key work again. my brightness will change, but i can't turn my wi-fi on or off and i can't eject a cd and simple stuff like that that i just want to get fixed. Btw, i hightly recommend the e1505. it is such a great computer. i love everything about it. thanks for the help in advance!

To get your function keys to work, you need to install Dell Quickset. This isn't required for your wifi, but i have a feeling that is directly tied into your driver. Most FN functions don't require quickset, but your CD eject, the brightness/volume pop up box and others like the battery pop up box do require it.

For your network driver, you need to download two drivers or possibly three:
    Mandatory:
    Ethernet: broadcom 440x10/100
Wireless: depends on your wireless card.

    Optional:
bluetooth: not required if you have a BT card because XP does have its own drivers.
