So I tried to read through most of the thread, but I think its mostly regarding the 1680x1050 resolution.

My question is, I ordered the Wide Screen WXGA+ LED screen which is 1440x900, are these screens affected by the grainy screen problem or no?

Oh, is it new? I've been looking at the M1530 for a few weeks now and I could have sworn I've seen the LED screen there for at least a while.

The LED has been available to home users since the 14th in the US and the 15th in Canada. So just over a week...

Ahh ok, so then I'm assuming that no one here has one yet. I guess I'll have to wait and found out then. I'm supposed to get mine somewhere around 1st week of May or so.
