I configured an e1505 the way I wanted it the other day but it wouldn't let me apply one of the online coupons because it said that it already had an automatic 30% savings...but looking around here I've seen ppl with nearly the exact same configuration I want getting it for $1200-$1400 and when I do it it comes out to like $1700, can someone please walk me through the process on the best way to configure it and how to get the best deal for the money? thanks

maybe look at the july 4th sales when they come or the back to school sales.

I heard the back to school sales are a HUGE sale.

I'll second the suggestion for the Dell Outlet. I just ordered this notebook for my brother-in-law:
    6400/E1505
    Core Duo (1.66 GHz)
    1GB 533MHZ,DDR2,2X512
15.4 inch Wide Screen XGA Display
Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005
    80GB, 5400rpm hard drive
    8X CD/DVD Burner (DVD+/-RW)
    IntelĀ® Graphics Media Accelerator 950
    1390 Wireless networking
    Basic software

It is a certified refurb, and the grand total is $629 shipped.

the outlet is great, though they rarely have any coupons. But, most of the time, not needed. You do have to act quickly, hesitate for a minute, and that great deal is in someone else's hands.

Also, try to order a week or two before Dell's fiscal quarter ends. Like any company, Dell hates to have that kind of inventory on its books, so the number of outlet systems is usually quite high, and the pricing is often very agressive.
