    Im looking to buy a Dell laptop but i need to decide which its the right one for me to get it so if anyone can help me please.

    Vostro 3500 or Inspiron 1545 both with i3 processor.

    im looking to use this laptop for high school and light games like this one for example.

    System Requirements:

    * Windows 95/98/ME/XP/2000/Vista/7
    * DirectX version 5.0 or later, or OpenGL
    * 43 MB free space on your hard disk
    * A connection to the internet

    not that much of a gamer.

    Can you post some more specs of both notebooks (RAM, Hard drive, GPU ect).

    But by looking at the game requirements it looks like an old game which would run fine on either.

    If you don't mind spending a little more $ than you might want to go with the Studio series. In my experience they have a little better build quality and generally come with more features. Sometimes with coupon you can score them at the same price!

    Hi,

    I'd personally prefer the Vostro over the Inspiron because of its non-glossy screen. The rest is basically the same hardware, and since the Vostro has one 2 GB module installed, you can add a 2GB aftermarket module if you like.

    Also, there are rumours that customer support for the business laptops (Vostro) is better than for the consumer series (like Inspiron).

    I had this very decision to make concerning an insprion 1720 vs vostro 1700 I went with the vostro as it was cheaper for the same exact laptop and 2.5 years later I still love mine. As soon as its replacement comes in it will sit on my desk doing server work.
