    One of my friend purchased a Dell XPS without partitioning. So his HDD now have two partition, C and D(Recovery). Now is it possible to have partition the C drive without doing fresh reinstall with discs given and without disturbing the recovery. Please help.

    GParted....Just resize C: and leave it to gparted....!!
