So, I have a desktop and also a laptop. I always move my laptop around, so I was thinking of putting a dock station for my home. BUT, I want to make it so I don't always have to pull my computer out and unplug/plug my mouse and keyboard and monitor again. Also, I only have 1 ethernet plug coming out from the wall, so I have to unplug it and replug for either my laptop or desktop.
So, I want to be able to use my monitor + keyboard + mouse for either my desktop or laptop.
What should I get to make my life easier?
My laptop and monitor are widescreen, they both use resolution 1440x900. My laptop only supports VGA, but my monitor supports DVI and VGA. My desktop only supports VGA. I use USB for mouse and PS/2 for keyboard.

Hi,
I recommend these products, I have had great experience with them.
Rosewill Hub- To share internet connection

The Rosewill might be really cheap but it works great!
And you will be needing two Cat 5e ethernet cables

The IOGEAR GCS632U that Lithus recommended is perfect for your needs. You would only need to get a PS/2 to USB adapter for your keyboard.

PS/2 to USB Adapter

Hope this helped =) -
That wasn't exactly what I had in mind.
I want to be able to hook up my laptop with only like 1 plug, for ex. usb. With that KVM, I would have to plug in the monitor, PS2, mouse into my laptop before I start using it. -
