    Help me to choose Dell from 2 Options

    Of the below 2 Options - Which is the best Configured DELL LAPTOP!!!

    Option 1:

    - Core2Duo - T5300, 1.73 Ghz, 533 FSB
    - 2 GB Ram, 667 Mhz, DDR2
    - 7200rpm hard Disk

    Option 2:

    - Core2Duo - T5600, 1.83 Ghz, 667 FSB
    - 1 GB Ram, 667 Mhz, DDR2
    - 5400rpm Hard Disk

    Both Option 1 & 2 Laptop's Price is almost same.

    Which is the best Configured LAPTOP in terms of speed & performance!!!

    Based on the info you've given, I'll personally take option 1. IMO, that is the better choice given the components being listed, although others may have a different view.

    By the way, I suggest buying RAM from other places like newegg because you'll definitely get them cheaper.

    Definitely the first one. As long as you're not interested in Virtualization Tech... The actual performance difference will be minimal between the two processors and factoring in the extra RAM and faster hard drive, the first option will be faster for 90% of applications.

    Are they configurations of the same laptop?

    I'd go for option two and buy your own RAM since it's easy to install and cheaper elsewhere.

    It's best to get the best processor you can since they are very expensive to replace, whereas RAM is a lot cheaper by comparison and it's literally a one screw out, plug it in and put the small cover back on operation.

    If the processor were a big jump, then I'd agree with you, but in this case, the added cost to upgrade the RAM and hard drive far outweigh the small increase in processor performance.
