Call Dell and hear if they will replace the screen for you. I would imagine they should cover it.

You will have to get a new screen, whether its from Dell or not. There's really no way to fix that problem without a huge amount of effort and risk.

If you feel up to it, they might send you the LCD alone and you could replace it yourself. I don't think it's terribly difficult to do and there are instructions on the dell support site.

I would email them and tell them your situation and they will most likely help you out. It doesn't hurt to try!

    PREACH IT....

There's a 1-800 I'm sure you already know about yet refuse to call for some unknown reason....

IF you didn't do anything wrong with your notebook then call and see what Dell will do for you.

Thanks, but I think you misunderstood what I said. I meant that if I was in your situation, I would email (or call) them. You would need to do it as it is your laptop and you have all the details pertaining to it. Sorry if I led you to believe otherwise.

Email them here: http://support.dell.com/ Just click "Contact Us" on the left navigation pane and it will be self explanatory from there.

    Good luck!

Hey "Ductapemaster", can you email Dell on my behalf and ask them when they think they will be shipping out my new laptop? Email me when you get a reply. Thanks! :D
