I have a Inspiron 6400 running windows xp Home. It is on a 60GB HDD.

I have accidently deleted the first sector in the HDD. This is sector 0 which is the MBR.

Does anyone else have the same laptop and can you send me the first 256 bytes from sector 0.

I thought i was deleting a different sector and now I cannot reboot. Please help.

You can repair/rewrite the MBR by booting in to the recovery console (boot with XP CD > Press R > Enter admin pass) then type fixmbr or fixboot.
