Dell suprised me by sending my laptop today, wasnt suppose to ship until 01/02/08. I only ordered a 120gb hard drive and 1gb of ram since I was going to upgrade those with purchases from newegg.
My question is on newegg they have SATA 3.00gb and Serial ATA150 and ata-6. From my invoice I know the hard drive is SATA, but I dont know which of the above is compatible and or the best option for the fastest 7200.

As long as it is SATA, don't worry about the speeds. No HDD or SDD in existence has the ability to saturate the channel.
Hitachi 7k200 are the best performing drives available, with the 7200.2 next. -
i saw that too, and i am not sure. Maybe someone else can help
btw, did you ordered your m1530 on the 16th? -
Go for the 7K200 200 GB. -
Yea I ordered on the 16th, fast turnaround for the 1530.
I am going to order this drive

Thanks for the help. -
Here's a deal you may want to watch out for. I was able to get it for about $116 before tax with a 10% off coupon!
