I just got my Dell 700M couple days ago and I want/need to install a memory into the upper memory slot (under the keyboard). There's 1 256MB memory already installed in the 2nd memory slot (under the laptop). I read the Dell's user guide on how to remove the hinge cover and keyboard. However, I am not too sure on these 2 steps (afraid damage the laptop).

    1. Use a plastic flat screwdriver to slide the hinge caps away from the computer.
    2. Detach the two display latches on the back of the computer.

Does anyone have experience on removing the hinge cover on Dell 700M before and please give me some details on those 2 steps.

    Thank you very much,
    Dkarale
