I want to get my GF a small portable laptop for work. The biggest factors are portability and the ability to run software she needs for work. The main program she uses is Dragon medical dictation software.

First in the minimum requirements of the software and second is the specs of the laptop inspiron 11z I want to get.

Would the laptop meet the requirements of the software?

I am in Canada if that makes a difference

The Celeron shouldn't have a problem but if not, get the model with the SU4100.

Not sure if you bought yet...
So, I don't know if you can get Dell outlet machines in Canada, but the su4100 (in hot pink to boot for a girlfriend) are dirt cheap on th outlet. The Celeron is probably OK, but I would want the faster one. Another similar machine (and I think a bit nicer) is the Acer 1810. You get the nice winter olympics model in Canada, but the high-end model gets expensive.
