Hi, everyone. My sister wants a pink laptop that is affordable, powerful, yet cheap enough to last a several years. I've narrowed it down to the Inspiron 1420.
I've got it with these configurations for $874.40 (including tax using DPA and EPP):

I was hoping to find a better deal (maybe stackable coupons someone doesn't need?) or possibly another pink laptop that has similar specs and is on par with the price I've shown.
If anyone can give some feedback on this configuration then please let me know. I might order this for my sis today depending on people's responses. Thanks!
Also does the 9-cell battery stick out?
-
If you can, get 1 gig of memory and buy additional from a re-seller like newegg and save a few bucks.
-
-The 9 cell battery does stick out
-Their are currently coupons knocking 20% off if you configure one for 999 or more (so do it! You save money ultimately)
-I would ditch the security software trial. There are many free alternatives which pester you with little but an email registrations every now and again.
-Due to coupon availability, I would consider stepping up the processor in order to get the price up to coupon level. It is the only 'weak' area I can see of your build. I WOULD NOT invest in discrete graphics at this time.
-Consider extending the warranty - I usually don't go for that stuff, but it can certainly save a head ache sometimes. Especially if this lappy HAS to last.
