I don't often use my laptop oudoors, and can barely see the screen when I do. Is there a hood or cover that would improve this?

I'm having a hard time understanding why it matters if you "don't often use [it] outdoors"

Thanks, I didn't think it was that difficult a question. I wasn't sure if there was an easy solution. I'd take the Darth Vadar approach but I'm more like the Wookie! ;)

Okay Chewie, better clean out those vents and the keyboard more often, and I thought the cats shedding was bad, but back to the topic, outdoors during daylight you either need to use the hood approach, or get one with a super bright screen, which at the moment is really expensive option, standard lcd's dont perform well with the sun, even when its overcast, the problem is even worse with glossy screens, as everything get reflected back
