I don't often use my laptop oudoors, and can barely see the screen when I do. Is there a hood or cover that would improve this?

most consumer level laptops will be hard to use outdoors, just the nature of the beast, checkout this review, but also note it starts around 3 grand

Okay Chewie, better clean out those vents and the keyboard more often, and I thought the cats shedding was bad, but back to the topic, outdoors during daylight you either need to use the hood approach, or get one with a super bright screen, which at the moment is really expensive option, standard lcd's dont perform well with the sun, even when its overcast, the problem is even worse with glossy screens, as everything get reflected back
