I got in on the 710m deal for $775 and the laptop arrives today. I don't NEED the laptop until july, but I would certainly use it between now and then.

Is it a good enough deal to keep or should I refuse the package and wait until summer for a new deal?

    Thanks.

That is an excellent deal. I almost bought a laptop for my 5 year old and that's about how much I wanted to spend. You can't buy a 12 inch laptop anywhere for that price.

Accept it and be happy. If you don't like it, Ebay it.

I would keep it.. especially since you got the for a great price. I had to pay $970~ for mine but I'm still happy. Very nice portable.

The specs are 1.7 Ghz P-M, 512MB, 60GB 5400 rpm drive, DVD burner, Intel 2200 wireless, 4 cell battery. I didn't/haven't bought extended warranty.

I'm leaning towards keeping it. I have heard from both sides. Some say wait until July to buy, while others say they've waited months for a good deal on 700/710m.

    Thanks for the responses.

Sounds solid. I would have gotten another battery since the battery life is not great with 4 cells.
