    HI all,

Just got the Studio Hybrid from Dell and trying to set it up as a htpc. I am connecting the Studio to my Sony 5.1 receiver through hdmi. I can get both audio and video. But when I open the playback devices by right clicking the volume icon, and select configure, I only see "Stereo" as an option in the speaker configuration. How can I get 5.1 audio. I tried playing a test video that has 5.1 audio and it would only show 2ch in my receiver.

I played the same video through my inspiron 1525 connected using the same hdmi cable and it showed 5.1 audio without issues. I have downloaded the latest audio drivers and everything from Dell's site.

I also tried using the spdif output bby connecting it to the optical in on my receiver but still only 2 channel audio.

Any solution to this issue? I am thinking of returning this back to store. I can get perfect 5.1 audio over hdmi using my inspiron 1525. Only reason I got this, my laptop gets tied up if I use it for watching movies and I wanted a cheap htpc solution with the small footprint.

Could it be the soundcard in this one is bad? Should I get a replacement?
