Hello, I'm new here. Before I post my problem, I first want to state that I don't know a whole lot about laptops / computers, although I do know more than your average computer user. (So please forgive me if my question seems stupid.)
Well, I just purchased a Dell 600m, and, so far I'm pretty satisfied with my laptop (although I do wish I got a Inspiron 6000 instead...). Anyway, I noticed that when I view some images on the web, they don't look as "crystal clear" as they would on my desktop. It's like.... they are some-what pixelated, and the transition between the different hues of the colors aren't so smooth. I have changed the screen settings to 90 DPI, but that doesn't help... So is there anything I can do to make my laptop's image quality better, or am I stuck with this? Here are my stats on my laptop (By the way, does this sound like a good laptop? I wish I found this site before I purchased my laptop... it's really great!) :
Dell Inspiron 600M
Intel Pentium M processor 725(1.60GHz,400MHz)
14.1-in XGA, w/ 32MB Video
512MB,DDR,266MHz 2 Dimms, Inspiron 600m
60GB Ultra ATA Hard Drive for Inspiron 600m

the standard setting is 96 dpi, not 90.... not sure if that's a typo or if that is really what you changed it to....
try 96 and report back... if it's still unsatisfactory, we'll go from there -
Yeah, it's 96 dpi, not 90 dpi. Sorry about that...

those are pretty good specs
