Alright, i'm planning on going to my local dell kiosk on monday to order my laptop(Vostro 1500 with t7300, 8600gt, XGA+ display, 2 gigs of ram and 160gig 5400rpm drive) and am just wondering what the easiest/cheapest way to buy it.

I found a coupon for canada but when i enter it i get the:
but when i click the details i get this message:
Though it does not show on my check-out bill.

So the big question is should i(or even 'can i') configure it online and just tell them my account name and have them use that as the starting point, or will i need to re-configure it when i'm there. Also, am i allowed to use the coupon there?(frankly i cant see it working online as it refuses to alter my final price at check-out)

Also, assuming the coupon goes through, should i still try to haggle with them to save additional money? and if it does not, what kind of savings could i get if i were to start off at full retail price(right now its $1479)

As a side question, has anyone in canada successfully ordered the 7pin s-video to component/spdif break-out box? I can find it on the american site, but when i use all the proper key-words, or the american unit number, the search bar cant locate it on Dell.ca. Does anyone know if that would be a problem, adding it to my purchase?

    Thanks

I've seen them... and laughed at the chuckel heads standing at them... its kinda like going to or walking by an Apple store... you just want to stand there and point and laugh.

ok...you can get a better deal if you go to the kiosk. i recommend you configure your laptop exactly the way you want it and get the best price you can online first. print it out exactly with the specs and price. take that printout to the kiosk and ask if they can give you a better deal.
