    Help with new Dell Inspiron 1520 laptop

    Can anyone out there please help me. I have just started using my new Dell Inspiron 1520 laptop. I got it all up and running and am using my new 3G Dongle, this is fantastic. However when i try to put any sort of disk in it just wont work. i have tried a CD, DVD and also a programme disk to install a webcam and it just won't work. when i put a disk in it makes and noise and is whizzing round but nothing happens. please help

    go to device manager and look if ur cd drive is listed there???......

    When i go into computer and the E drive it shows the name of the film etc i want to play but it asks me if i want to burn cd, i dont get it.
