Hi, I just recieved my 9300 with the truelife screen.

The resolution was set to 1920x1200 and I had no probs reading the text.

Then I reinstalled with XP pro and when I goto 1920x1200 the text is also smaller and it alot harder to see.

Any tips on how I can get it back to the original.
    Thanks

    Dear Mode,

That is because, your Dell came with the font settings set by Dell to 120 dpi, I think. When you reinstalled XP pro, it went back to the default of 96 dpi. To set this back to 120:

    1. Right click on your desktop and select Properties
    2. Select Settings
    3. Select Advanced
    4. In General tab, choose 120 as your dpi.

The price to pay for that UXGA screen. Personally, I can't stand it. It is great for looking at pictures, but the text is so small that I need glasses to read, honest. The text at 120 dpi IMO is just plain ugly to read. I ordered the regular WXGA screen and I am happy with it. Actually, I would gladly pay Dell $125.00 to get the WXGA screen. Many people I know love this UXGA screens and the font size is not a problem for them. Good luck
