I was wondering has anyone tried applying Artic Silver 5 compound onto the dell inspiron 1420. If so can you help me out because I really want to decrease my notebook's temperature without the assistance of some external accessory. Thank you and your help is much appreciated.

I dont think anyone has actually since everyone here has gotten their machines in the past month or so, and not many are willing to ruin a warranty with something that expensive that is only a month old.
