Whenever I leave my ipod or my phone plugged in to my vostro, the laptop gets stuck after loading the bios.
It looks like it's TRYING to boot from the ipod/phone rather than the hard drive.
Everything works fine when nothing is plugged in though
    Any way to fix this?

Its an unknown device that the bios can't deal with - the BIOS stalls and can't continue with the boot. Just have to remove before booting.
