I have an inspiron 1520 I just did clean install of windows 7 64 bit.

    1) The thing shuts down instead of sleeps, I have all power settings (except battery after 40 min idle hibernate)

I leave plugged in over night and every night rather than sleeping, so I can run scheduled backups, it powers down/hibernates instead of sleeping...

1a) Is there any chance could be a bluetooth problem?
Originally this laptop shipped w vista 32 bit.
    I used the bluetooth driver/app I'd found from a 1520 to win 7 64 bit blog.
I don't see any option to actually turn the device off through the software/app end (sure I can do in BIOS though, just not very efficient if I need to actually use it!)

1b) When Inspiron was on orig vista 32 I seem to remember having a sleep issue then too.. I remember it had something to do with the usb wireless mouse adapter not letting it sleep..

***** HOWEVER the problem now is it ACTUALLY POWERS DOWN instead of SLEEPING

    ----
    2) Now the usb 'unknown device' happened several days after I did clean install of OS. I did not change anything, that I'm aware of right before it came up...

I tested all of the usb ports and despite having the unknown device error, they all seem to be working fine...

And as for the unknown usb device Port_#0006.Hub_#0007 ; usb.inf:Generic.Section.NTamd64:BADDEVICE.Dev:6.1.7601.17586:usb\unknown

is what some of the device proprties are showing in details...
i went to intel website and ran the auto detect driver update app- it did not show any need for updating the usb controller or device drivers...

    Anyone help with these problems?
