I'll be ordering my Studio 15 soon :D, but I've got a couple of questions and I was wondering if anybody could help me with these, please:

    1. I'll be going for the 1080p screen upgrade. Is it any good? (I mean apart from the higher res)

    2. There are two options for the processor:
    • Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processor P7350 (2.0GHz, 1066MHz FSB, 3MB L2 Cache)
    • Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processor T6500 (2.1GHz, 800MHz FSB, 2MB) £20 more than the first one.
Which of these is better? Does FSB matter?

    Thanks.

I have the 1080p and although it will take some getting used to on a small screen it is pretty stunning looking.

I would keep the P7350. It has more cache, faster FSB, and less power draw than the T6500.

Besides the resolution, 1080p screen is beautiful, its bright and the great quality. Great viewing angles, great color contrast. I tested it on a website versus my desktop's samsung and the colors were much better, more crips, and bright.

As for the processors, stick with the P7350. FSB does matter, its faster than the T6500's, and it has more Cache size, plus it will eat less of your battery. I would definitely choose the P7350 over the T6500. The 100mhz increase in speed would not be noticed over the P7350.

I was in the same boat as you, which processor to go for.

At the time the T6500 was cheaper than the P7350 and I was going to go for that. But after doing some research on FSB and Cache and waiting for a better deal on the Dell Website, I got the P7350 with the spec in my sig for the same price of the system with a T6500 (£550 with deliv)

IMO, go for the P7350 you won't regret it ;)

    Thanks all!

I think that's good enough for me to make a decision. I'll be getting the P7350 with the 1080 screen.

By the way, I found this 5% discount code if anyone else needs it (UK only, I think) :)

    Code:
    079HPZS?7W57TP
Edit: It's only valid till the 9th btw.

btw all Coupon codes work below their minimum values ;)

If you only spend £599 and need to spend £699 to use the code for example, it will still give the percent off ;)

Haha yeah I know, the code I posted is supposed to work for orders over £679, but my setup works out at £650; ~£616 after discount.
