Ok, so i finally decide that im going to buy a new laptop.
I chose to get me Dell studio 15, and i need some help with recommanded components.
im going to get the best processor they offer (T9300), 4gb shared memory.
i need ur advice if i should get 200gb 7200 rpm or stay with the 320gb 5400?
i heard that 7200 rpm make the computer to get hot real fast.
what about the display? should i stay with the glossy 12800X800 or upgrade to the hi def screen ? im not going to watch movies on my laptop, so what do you think ?
do you know if i have hdmi out on the computer ?
what about wireless card? is the 1510 N is better ? should i get it ?
what is the back lit keyboard option? is it practical ?
i would like to hear any reccomendation you have since im going to order the notebook in the next few days.
    thank you.

The Audigy is just software, and not worth the money.

What is your goal with the laptop? I don't think there really is a need for the most powerful available intel processor ever for the general user at the moment. You'll be hard pressed to make it do anything unless you are gaming or encoding.

Depending on what you want to do with your laptop the Studio 15 may not be the best choice.

Concerning the backlit keyboard, I never look at my keyboard when I type so I don't need to find keys in the dark. If you don't type well it'll be useful but I'm pretty sure everyone who has grown up with a computer now a days probably doesn't really need the backlit keyboard. Depends on how familiar you are with a keyboard. I'm guessing after 1 month with your laptop you'll never need the backlit function again as you'll know where all the keys are that you need to use.

I would skip the back lit keyboard and not bother with the 7200 rpm HDD. The 320 is going to be fast, and it is always nice to have the extra space.

Based on those savings I WOULD splurge on the led back lit LCD panel. Should offer a combination of better brightness and battery life. A good display is like a good paint job, its always nice to look at.

Also is it going to be 32 or 64 bit? If its 32, you might not want 4gb or ram.

The backlit keyboard is awesome. Pimp your laptop.

agreed, it's one of those things, that if you dont do it... you'll regret it for the next 3 or 4 years... or how ever long you will use your lappy...

and if you're from the states, get the lowest ram, upgrade it yourself... cheaper that way.

When I ordered mine, I actually rang them back and added the backlit keyboard to the order half an hour later. I realised I'd do exactly that, and spend the next three years wishing I'd bought it.
