i have a studio 15 just wondering what you guys prefer hibernate or sleep mode?
i find hibernate a cool future and useing it alot..

hibernate doesn't drain the battery.
sleep mode does.
so obviously hibernate FTW!! -
Hiberbnate takes everything in the memory and writes it to the HDD. Then when it starts it loads everything back into memory. So Hibernate actually turns off the computer, where sleep keeps the computer on in a low power state to retain everything in the memory.
Thats why people disable hibernate on the SSD drives. The additional writing to the SSD can cause SSD degradation. Also with an SSD it can boot from scratch quicker then loading from hibernate. Supposedly anyway. An SSD Boots fast enough no need for hibernate. -
Hibernate sucks up about a gig of memory.
