    Guys, im currently using a DELL INSPIRON 6400 and i just reformated my notebook. Somehow after that, im unable to enable hibernation. it says that the file is being used by another process. I have no idea what it means. anyone faced this problem before?

    Did you follow SouthernGirl's XP install guide? If not, check out the guide before proceeding any further. Most likely you're missing a driver or necessary laptop software.

    Couple of things - first make sure XP is completely updated. Also, make sure that all of your drivers are updated and installed properly.

    Have you installed any software?
