Sorry, about these choice questions, I have a few hours left until I buy this laptop.

Is it worth it to upgrade to the integrated sound blaster audigy hd software edition for $25? OR is the high definition audio 2.0 good enough?

The audigy is software, not a different card than what you have now.
The audigy software gives you an equalizer so you can customize your sound. Maybe it allows other tweaks too. I didn't get it, so I can't tell you if it makes a difference.

I did get the X-Fi card that fits into the laptop's Express slot. And using headphones, the X-Fi card sounded better than the default sound. The X-Fi won't play through the laptop's speakers though, so you need headphones or external speakers to use it.

I hope it's not too late. It's best to get an external sound card if you want better performance, the "software edition" is only software. It doesn't help.
