    Hitachi dosent provide hard disk upgrades?

    on their site they saw they dont provide any new drivers for hard drives, your just suppose to use the ones that come with the computer or motherboard etc... is that true?

    I've never thought to update drives for a HDD before. I'm sure the plug and play drivers will work just fine.

    It's not the hard drive that requires a driver, it's the controller and since the controller in a notebook is never changed, the drivers that were included with the notebook are the deal. I would keep an eye on the notebook manufacturer's website for updated drivers as they may at some point update them.

    Dell will occasionally put up drivers on there website...I can't remember which model, but Dell did put an update for one particular Hitachi Drive
