The upgrades on the processors are ridiculous right now.

    Intel® Core™ Duo Processor T2600 (2.16GHz/667MHz FSB) [add $440 or $14/month2]
    Intel® Core™ Duo Processor T2500 (2GHz/667MHz FSB) [add $280 or $9/month2]
    Intel® Core™ Duo Processor T2400 (1.83GHz/667MHz FSB) [add $200 or $6/month2]
Intel® Core™ Duo Processor T2300E (1.66GHz/667MHz FSB) [Included in Price]

Based on what I understand from Dell's pricing strategy and real time marketing system, it probably means they have a glut of 1.66GHz processors to use and are trying to sway customers to go with that option since the upgrade prices are off the scale. For components in over supply they price it low or make alternative so expensive you get scared away from them. The nice thing being, if they have an oversupply on say 7200RPM 100GB hard drive they drop the price so you simply can't resist buying it :D

All the gaps seem logical when compared to intel's official pricing, just a few percents more than the official pirce gaps. Except for the 1.66GHz

But the funny thing is that if you take the 2GHz pricing as the starting point and move to the 1.66, then it is practically selling for less $100 :D
