Whenever I connect my laptop to my HD Sony TV with a DVI cable the image is always cropped. The top/bottom/left/and right are always absent from the screen. S-Video output works great but the quality leaves much to be desired. I just got a hold of the latest nVidia drivers which add vertical bars to my games now for proper resolutions (i.e., no stretching). However, I still can't get the full display on a TV screen with a DVI cable, regardless of the resolution I select.

Has anybody had this problem? Know of a solution or if it's an impossible dream?

Thanks in advance. Any info is appreciated.

Do you mean a DVI or an HDMI?

I think there is some setting in the nVidia control panel to control the scaling and position of the secondary displays....

I tried that before posting and it didn't seem to help. If anyone with a similar rig has tried and it's worked, let me know. Then I can be sure it's not going to happen. :(
I'm running Vista Home Preimium by the way. I should have included that in my sig.
