Preface: I purchased a m6600 a 4+ years ago with Pro Support and complete care. GPU died on it and I was sent a m6800 as a replacement.

I've purchased warranty extensions on the m6800 without issue, it is now ~2 years old.

My warranty was expiring soon and received the notification to renew, I asked for a quote and promptly forgot about it for a few weeks.

A few weeks go by and I get another notice for renewal and revive another quote. After a short call with the representative(John) confirming it is the same warranty that I had, I provide my CC info and life is good.

I check the account later that night and notice that Complete Care is not renewed. I send an email asking why and was told that it was "not an option" because the machine is over 4 years old.

I respond with the ship date and that it is ~2 years old.

I then get an email from "Ian" stating that he can add Complete Care and that he would be calling me to sort it out.

I receive a call from John the next day stating that I can BUY the Complete Care coverage that I had already purchased. I asked him to verify with his manager and call me back at a later time.

I am told there is no mistake and respond with the fact that I asked about this before paying.

I then receive and email from Ian
"Now here’s what I can do for you. If you purchase the additional accidental damage @ $89.64, we’ll throw in System Mechanic, which is a system optimizer that can support up 10 computers, that originally costs $49.95. We’ll give it you for $39.95. AND, that System Mechanic cost will be deducted from the accidental damage total price. So basically, you are paying for the accidental damage AND system mechanic for only $89.64. you’ll get accidental damage warranty PLUS a system optimizer that makes your computer faster. That sounds better right? 2 for the price of 1. A $140 value that will only cost you $89.64.

Please let me know what you think of this great offer."

I went from frustrated to flaming. He refuses to have his manager contact me.

    WTF?
