    Just now i got Dell 1525 for my bro. I wanted to do clean format. is there any special instructions? or i should do the same way i did with my dell Inspiron 1720.

    how to format dell 1525 inspiron and backup the files..

    Backup the files by burning them to a disk, create restore cds/dvds then you just stick in Dell Mediadirect disk (if you want Mediadirect too with the reformat), then insert Vista DVD, then your set with reformatting and reinstalling.
