I ask because some shipping companies scan and update constantly and some companies don't and before you know it the package is at your house.
Right now my tracking number says Shipment data received.
So is my laptop really still sitting at Dell right now?

It is enroute to the nearest Dell-DHL hub via jet. Once it arrives at the hub then your laptop package is broken off from the pallet of the rest of them and will get its initial scan. Expect this process to take around 12 to 24 hours. Oh, and this occurs regardless of if your shipping method is next biz day or ground.

It's 0.1% accurate

dhl tracking was a 100% accurate for my order.

I find that is has some delays, because I check my laptop in the morning at 8:30 and there was no progress, then I check again at 10 and it says they scaned it at 730 and 936 and was out of delivery. So it seems they don't update it till it gets to certain places.

DHL is pretty accurate w/ their shipments. Blows UPS out of the water at least

Apparently there are differing experiences...I have ZERO luck with DHL, while UPS has the best tracking for me <_<

I also experienced delays with DHL updating the tracking info. It didn't update until after 2:00 pm that they had attempted delivery at 11:30 am.

hmm, maybe it also differs depending on the type of delivery? whether its express, ground.. etc
How accurate is DHL Tracking?
