I currently have a sony sz270 and Im thinking of upgrading, I am curious though, in all reviews people pretty much say the 1330 speakers flat out suck. The speakers on my sony are excellent, great volume and actually descent bass for a 13 notebook.I do not like having to rely on external speakers and headphones suck, so are 1330 speakers as bad as everyone says?I cannot imagine them being worse than the m1210 speakers.
Also is there a big difference between the standard display and the slim and light led display?

Well, almost all Notebook speakers suck, I wouldn't even use it if I had to, I rather get some decent 2.1s or use headphones
As for the m1330, I'm pretty sure it's been 'exaggerated' since most users are first timers and have had no previous experience with notebooks(mostly desktops with decent sound systems). But if I had to compare, they're average speakers, just not very loud at maximum settings, though tolerable. -
honestly, while im not an audiofile..i love my 1330's speakers
they are clear and get pretty loud..much better than my IBM's
ofcourse @ max volume its distorted, but otherwise im very happy -
I agree with d94, I think my speakers are just fine. They are better than my previous laptop's, a Gateway 3550gz. Those sucked. In fact, that whole laptop sucked.

I dunno, for some reason compared to my old 700m, 1330's speakers are not as good. They do their job tho
Can't really complain about notebook speakers, you can't expect much from them, especially in this form factor.

M1330 speakers are not bad that bad. They're plenty loud, but lack bass. It'll be hard to find any 13" notebook that has really great sound.

mine seem fine and are pretty loud at 50%

It depends on the environment you're in when it comes to speakers. If you are in a huge room with a lot of space....your speakers are enough have music blasting crystal clear...now if you're in a mall or outside in starbucks, you won't hear crap because of all the sound waves interference. ....now that when the earbuds come in handy or those mini speakers if you carry them with you.

I have a D610 and the speakers are surprisingly powerful - when teaching I have played media to the whole class using the internal speakers. In comparison the M1330 speakers are much quieter and I am not sure if you could really fill a room with them - at least not a big room.
How bad are 1330 speakers?
