Well, i ordered the m1330 in july 18th.. blabla long story short it got cancelled twice and as of now i dont even have an order placed for it because it was cancelled again on august 25th.
Anyway i called to see if they could give me compensation for that, and after about an hour on the phone they told me i could get the 2 year complete care for only 1000 pesos (around 90 dlls, originally costs 250 dlls). I was happy about that and i agreed, but when the rep was checking it again he told me the LED option isnt available and thats why it got cancelled all these times. So he offered me the two years completecare and the CCFL screen and call it even.
What should i do? Wait all over again and get the CCFL screen and 2 year CC, or cancel and wait an indefinite ammount of time until i can get another model of laptop? (because Dell Mexico is the only one who sells a decent computer in my country who accepts mexican credit cards with no-interest payments)
Anyone here with CCFL m1330 could tell me if the difference is that bad? if it weighs a ton more and if the battery and image quality is that much worse?
BTW i have til tomorrow morning to make my decision because the CC discount is not forever.

CCLF screen is not bad, it's like gazzilion other LCD screens out there. LED one is the new tech but otherwise, CCFL will suffice for anyone
-
Ive waited so long for a laptop that i got pretty caught up with "i want it to be the best sheit ever!" but since i ordered i felt pretty hopeless about ever seeing it lol.
-
U'll get it (eventually) and u gonna love it... CCFL or not, it's a great notebook with catchy design.
-
I got offered the laptop within the week if i swap to CCFL but i'm way passed that point.
Like Hugovr its got to be and better ****ing be perfect now i've waited this long. -
My CCFL screen is way better than the screen on my HP laptop (4200) unless they accidentally gave me an LED - still don't have an invoice.
I would go with it - the 1330 is an awesome machine.

thanks.. i think ill take the ccfl and the 2 year completecare.. not like i have any other choice anyway. Its that or giving up on a laptop and buying a sub-$1000 machine just to have one.

Oh btw... whats the weight/battery life difference?
-
weight is about .7 pounds, and battery life is around 1-2 hours more
-
hmmm im not sure the weight difference is that much.. could someone tell me how much the ccfl one weights with 6 cell?
-
The LED display starts at 3.97lbs and is 0.87 inches thick compared to the standard display which starts at 4.28lbs. and is 0.97 inches thick. The 4 cell battery is 0.5lbs while the 6 cell is 0.7lbs. So the 6 cell ads on .2lbs to the total weight of the laptop. With the 6 cell, it would be around 4.5lbs if my math is correct.
Hope this helps! -
Thank you very much! That cleared my doubt very nicely.

1. Excellent viewing angles from all sides (especially vertical.)
2. Very Bright. Excellent Image quality (coming from a 2 year old Inspiron 6000, which also had an amazing screen.)
3. I haven't seen the LED screen, but don't expect a monster in width.
It's the same, if not thinner than most screens.
4. No Flex and little to no ripples when pushing the back cover. Very sturdy and does not feel cheap at all.
5. I have the 9 cell and its very lightweight.
I've attached a few photos for reference
