    Anyone have directions?

I have a piece of dirt underneath the screen and am willing to try to get it out before I return it to Dell. Their quality control absolutely reeks. I just got this thing. If it weren't so cheap, I'd return it ASAP.

It was there when I opened the computer. Like a black piece of dirt about 5 pixels wide/thick, like a tiny smudge that you think can be erased or wiped but it can't.

I'm sure it's not a dead pixel. Problem is, it's on the inside of the screen.

I disassembled the display (no frame, no bezel, free-standing now) only to realize that the actual lcd tft is still taped shut and it's a considerable chore to get it out. It would be beyond me. It's going to take more than replacing the screen, b/c a new screen gives you a complete unit that pop in once you take out the frame and bezel. You don't have to completely disassemble like I would have to. It goes beyond the documentation provided by Dell on "replacing the screen".

It's going back. It's a shame. I got the Samsung screen and it was great.

Hmm! I wish you get a perfect screen in the replacement.
