    Hi there:

I currently have both chips... the intel 3965 and the 4965.

I have an inspiron 1420, and i have installed both of them on my machine. However, i have the feeling that 3965 works better around my house (it detects my neighbours wifi more easily than the N card does). I am working with non N routers by the way.

I have read many times some of you saying that you are getting a certain frequency or something.

Is there a software or some procedure with which i can actually test and get a number of the signal so i can see how much i get in my bedroom with the 3965 card and then with the 4965?? I wouldnt really care in keeping the 3965 instead of the 4965 if the signal is better and it works better, so i need to do some rough comparison.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.
